It was a cold and rain soaked day in early July when I pulled into Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado to shoot Rock Star Mayhem Fest along side my good friend and music photographer Justin Urban of Urbanimpression. This was my first time shooting Red Rocks and seeing a show there as well. This was also the biggest show I have shot yet and some of the biggest bands I have had the opportunity to shoot. Being five feet away from Chad Grey and Kerry King and feeling the heat from Slayers pyro while in the pit was an insane reminder of how far I have come as a concert photographer. I never know where my camera will take me but I know it will only get better from here. All photos created with a Canon 60d, Tamron 17-55 2.8, Tamron 70-300mm 4-5.6 and Tokina 11-16mm 2.8.
